Survival Tag Basics

The under-18 waiver is now available here!

Welcome to survival tag! By entering this game, you are immersing yourself in a world of fantasy and magic where crazy crossovers are commonplace and only the strong survive.

At the beginning of the game, you will be given a card that tells you who your character is. You may be part of the predatory dragon/monster class, the demon class which preys on humans but can be eaten by the dragons/monsters, or the lowly prey classes.

No matter which class youre in, each character is unique and has a unique purpose. The various character goals range from finding the hidden item at special stations to capturing and protecting a target or claiming a life tag from your sworn enemy.

Important as it is to complete your mission, dont forget to stay alive! The prey class all needs to collect sustenance from hidden food or magic stations and, of course, preserve at least one of your life tags from the predatory classes.

The game is won by whoever has the most points at the end of the game. Points are awarded based on keeping as many lives as possible, collecting food and water over and above what is required to stay alive and completing your mission.

Con-G Picnic & Survival Tag

Con-G is hosting a Cosplay Picnic & Survival Tag day! Con-G and the FLASH Club of UoG have put their heads together to hold this event. We'd like to thank everyone who made Con-G a success, and hope to meet new friends who did not make it to Con-G this year.

When: Saturday June 27th, 11am - 4pm
Where: The University of Guelph campus [MAP]
Meeting place: 11am at the Cannon near the University Centre (official map of campus) (map showing location of Cannon)

Bring your own picnic lunch and come to have fun!

Survival Tag is based on the old predators vs. prey tag game, only we play it with anime characters! Full rules will be explained at the picnic.

Survival Tag is an outdoor event that involves lots of running around. If you wish to participate in Survival Tag, please wear appropriate clothing/costumes. Odds are you will get at least a little bit dirty!

You do not have to wear a costume to this event; you can just wear appropriate outdoor clothing and shoes. If you choose to wear a costume, we suggest no long wigs, no pieces that drag on the ground, no high-heeled shoes, and no huge props. You will be running outside, hiding in bushes, climbing over things, etc.

If you do not want to play Survival Tag, the University of Guelph campus offers lots of lovely outdoor photoshoot locations!

IMPORTANT! Since we are using the University of Guelph grounds, it is required that everyone who wants to participate in Survival Tag must sign a waiver. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver. The waiver will be available for download closer to the event
The waiver is available here so you can just print it off, get it signed, and bring it with you.

Please check out the discussion thread in the Con-G forums!

This event is free, though it would be greatly appreciated if participants could bring a non-perishable food item. All collected food will be donated to the Guelph Food Bank!

A special thanks to Elemental who came out and did a wonderfully successful photography panel.

Thank you to Dave, our con-medic we loved having you here and handled all of our accidents with out flaw.even if it was just the papercut incident ;)

We especially want to thank our head ninja Caitlin W., workmanship judge Natalie, and MCs Caitlin T. and Savage Bandito for running such a great Masquerade, which actually ran ON time! And to Mike for being a wonderful step in volunteer to do sound.
